On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, New Acropolis Strasbourg (France) had the honour of welcoming Laura Winckler, co-founder of New Acropolis in France, for a conference on this illustrious figure and his philosophy of non-violence.

The event began with young members of New Acropolis reading a text imagined for the occasion, in the form of a testimony of a young Indian activist during the salt march. Following this, Laura Winckler shared points of thought that the Mahatma translated through his actions – Determination, awareness & benevolence towards all living beings, as well as self-control are the keys.
