New Acropolis Russia (St. Petersburg) commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with a lecture titled Mahatma Gandhi: Five Rules of Life. The event discussed five rules that shaped the life of one of the most distinguished political leaders.

One such principle was Gandhi’s emphasis on self-purification or self-control, coupled with the drive for constant self-improvement. Gandhi lived by the belief that if you don’t like something in your way of life, make a commitment to yourself to change it, and work on this persistently and decisively.

Gandhi’s rules of life were illustrated by multiple examples from his choices and way of living.
