New Acropolis Boston (U.S.A.) celebrated Gandhi’s 150th Anniversary by sharing his message of unity and nonviolence at The Peace Abbey in Sherborn, Massachusetts. Gandhi’s personal example inspires us all to be true to ourselves no matter the cost, and shows us that even small changes can have a big impact.

Surrounded by great quotes from men and women who have laboured for peace, the speaker shared some words on his life and his teachings. At the foot of Gandhi’s statue, a quote by him reminding us of the universal oneness of humanity served as inspiration throughout the event: “Like the bee gathering honey from the different flowers, the wise person accepts the essence of the different scriptures and sees only the good in all religions”.
