New Acropolis France, with the patronage of the Embassy of India, spearheads a National Festival as a tribute to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The festival will span 17 events across 9 cities and will draw inspiration from the historical figure of Gandhi – a man of example, action and courage in the pursuit of philosophical principles.

At New Acropolis, we believe that to forge change in the world, it depends on each one of us to realise it and become it ourselves. Gandhi’s quest never dissociated inner and outer realities, and was exemplified by respect for all. His philosophical approach reminds us today that material conquests are inconsequential if they are not connected to inner development – to the spirit of service that comes from being human and respecting nature.

The principles of action, detachment and non violence that inspired the Mahatma can serve as a model for a Warrior of Peace that is perhaps more relavent for us today than ever before. It is this universal message that New Acropolis France wishes to promote through this National Festival honouring Gandhi.
